NO RETREAT

“THOSE WHO KNOW YOUR NAME TRUST IN YOU, FOR YOU, LORD, HAVE NEVER FORSAKEN THOSE WHO SEEK YOU.” Psalm 9:10

Peace is not just an emotion. Its a place I stand. A position I take up, that I hold. I defend it by standing on God’s word, on His promises. I don’t have to feel peace to have peace.

Eph. 6:15 tells us to “put on the shoes of peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared.”

So, the peace we can put on is from God’s word. We put the shoes of peace on our feet so we can stand firm on God’s truth no matter how we feel or what’s going on around us.

We PUT ON peace. To put on is an action, a verb, not just a feeling. Its something we choose to do. Just like I can choose to rejoice, I can choose to stand on God’s promises and trust Him, thus having peace.

Satan would like us to retreat. If I retreat in fear or anxiety or doubt then satan defeats my purpose God has for me.

“THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU. YOU ONLY NEED BE STILL!” Ex. 14:14 NIV

So when enemies like worry, fear, anxiety, doubt, come I need to say NO!

NO RETREAT! NO SURRENDER!

I stand on the ROCK!

I stand firm on His promises!

I hide under the Shadow of His Wings!

I have peace because He is Faithful.

I have peace because I trust His word.

He is with me always. He leads me. He protects me. He provides for me. He makes a way where there is no way. He holds me in His hand.

I will stand firm on His promises.

I will trust His love!

I will trust His power!

I will trust His guidance!

I will trust His Character!

NO RETREAT! NO SURRENDER!

“But I am trusting You, O Lord, saying, ‘You are my God! My future is in Your hands.” Ps. 30:14-15a
